GP03 Almost Complete

Sorry for the crappy picture, but I’m in a rush this morning – before New Years, I wanted to get a status shot of the GP03 in.

As you can see, he’s just about done.  I just need to do the gloss coat, panel lines and decals, then the flat coat.  The weapons are at the same stage, but aren’t seen here.

Happy New Year!

X-mas Loot

Well, part 1 of the Holidays is over, but on the 30th I’ll be rejoining my family for New Years.  I received some pretty awesome gifts from my wife and family this year –

Quite a haul, and this doesn’t include the obligatory socks and shirts from my parents, lol.

First up, from my wife is the GFF FAZZ!  I love the FAZZ(es) far more than their eventual legacy, the FA Double Zeta.  For me, it’s a combination of the fact that they are “high end” grunt suits from Gundam Sentinel, much like the Z Plus(es), but also I really like the color scheme.  The Grey and White with light blue highlights just looks so great!  Not to mention the beast of a shoulder cannon it sports.  Seems the FAZZ MG kit is still going for nearly 100$, this little guy is a great alternative for my collection (for now…)

Next from my wife is Gundam Musou 3 (or Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 3, here in The States) – and let me just say, I LOVE IT. I’ve started a few pilots so far, namely Kou Uraki and Full Frontal – the GP01fb and Sinanju both look amazing and I really like their varied fighting styles.  I’m saving Garrod and the DX for a while, but I ran the first mission with the Gundam DX and it…IS…SA-WEEEET!  I’ll be playing the crap out of this game for a long time!

But of course my parents got me Force Unleashed II – and seeing as Force Unleashed is one of my all time favorite games AND easily my all time favorite Star Wars game, let me just say its going to be tough to switch off between both games.  I know one of the guys who worked on the game and I emailed him last night telling him how much I already love it.  The developers did a great job of keeping the controls and game play exactly like the first game so it feels comfortable as ever, but the story and dual light sabers keep it fresh and fun!  Love it.

Finally, I received the GM Sniper Conversion kit from Ako Creations – I have a new found respect and liking of the GM Sniper Custom since playing 0081 and I look forward to building this, but first I need to find a MG Rx-78-2 OYW kit and even then it will be some time before I get to it.

So there we go, quite a bit of loot!

The GP03 is slowly getting done, but its time to start focusing on moving so we’ll see how it works out.

Happy Holidays from Korewa Gundam!

Hey all,

Well with the Holidays this weekend, I won’t be around to do any posts, so I thought I’d leave a little Holiday Gift to my readers:  A full episode of Gunpla Builders curtesy of AE Media, you can watch it all HERE.

Quite frankly, I wasn’t sure what to expect from this series but I love it!  Its campy, but still awesome at the same time, and HOLY CRAP! Its my Blue Destiny Space Custom! (But not really – the one used in this episode is a bit different).  I love that it allows us to see some custom Gunlpa builds in action, and provides many more ideas to use as well!

My only issue is the Beginning Gundam’s V-Crest.  I don’t like that it lights up, or activates or whatever, but its a small, personal preference gripe.

Enjoy and Happy Holidays!

Quick Update – Moving

Sorry for the lack of updates on the GP03 – we’re going to be moving in the next 3 weeks to a new place in a different city, so combine that with the Holidays this week, its been hectic to say the very least.
As for the GP03 – I really would like it to be the last MG I complete here in our current place.  I’m just about done – I just need to decide what color to use for the inside of the thrusters (I’m leaning toward purple) and start the final assembly/decals and coats.

I’m going to try and work on it tonight and the rest of this week if I have time, and I’ll have pictures up soon.

GP03 Update

So after almost a week of being too lazy to get around to painting the white panels of the GP03, I finally sat down and hammered the whole lot of them out.  I have to say, I love my air brush more and more with every job.

Of course my camera is on the fritz again so I don’t have any pictures, but for now here’s where I’m at:

Inner frame: done

White Panels: done

Grey sections: Done

Most of the Red: Done.

Red Highlights:  Next

Weapons: After

Coats, decals, panel lines etc: To follow.

I finally settled on a paint scheme for the rest of this project, and I’ll explain more when I get to the GP01 and GP04.  Basically though, I’m following the RX-78 line from 0079.

More to come –
